My name is Mike Curley. I am a singer-songwriter from Walpole, Massachusetts and Durham, New Hampshire. I have been writing music for a while but have been writing for this project for almost two years. It is a therapeutic process as well as an outlet for me to share my thoughts and views to whoever takes the time to listen.

I think a lot of people misunderstand or misappropriate Ron Paul just because he is running in the GOP primaries. In the years past he ran as a third party candidate because he himself knew that he did not fit with the Republican Party. He is a libertarian. Not a Republican. There is a difference.
Ron Paul is a Republican Candidate running for president who:
-Believes abortion is murder but would still not allow the federal government to legislate around the issue.
-Believes the American Empire is costing us too much money and that all US troops should be pulled from Afghanistan and other countries and financial efforts should be focused on the US.
-Does not support gay marriage but also would not touch that issue with a ten foot pole. No federal discrimination or favoritism based on age, race, sexual preference or political affiliation whatsoever.
-Believes in making it easier for people to afford private healthcare options instead of being penalized for not buying something they cannot afford.
-Wants to decrease the deficit and national debt without touching taxes. (no 1% argument, no more of your money in your neighbors pocket.) Just plain old conservative (Small ‘C’) spending.
So what exactly is wrong with voting for him again left wing guys? I mean really? This is the most moderate candidate I have ever heard of. If anything vote for him so that Santorum and Romney don’t win. Like really? Stop complaining about how terrible the other candidates are and vote for someone who isn’t an ignorant prick and maybe, just maybe could get this country back on its feet.
